Apples are one of these ingredients. USDA scientists recently investigated over 100 foods to measure their antioxidant concentration per serving size. According to the study, “Red Delicious and Granny Smith Apples—ranked 12th and 13th respectively.” Antioxidants are disease-fighting compounds that are believed to help prevent and repair oxidation damage that happens during normal cell activity.
