Telangiectasia

Some patients of the Asarch Center are bothered by the appearance of small, easily- removable blood vessels near the skin’s surface call telangiectasia.

What Are Telangiectasia?

These small blood vessels are positioned close to the skin’s surface, making them very visible. They are most common on the face and more apparent in sun damaged skin.

What Causes Telangiectasia?

The cause of these small blood vessels is not known, though scientists believe them to be hereditary. They are not dangerous, but many patients seek treatment for cosmetic reasons.

How Is Telangiectasia Treated?

These vessels can be easily treated with an Intense Pulsed Light Treatment, which we offer at Asarch Center.
