A wide brimmed hat with Ultraviolet protection is a great way to protect the top of your head and your face when out in the sun.

Brand New! Wallaroo Hats

These fabrics are tested by the Australian Radiation Protection Agency and black 97.5% of the sun’s ultraviolet rays. Ultraviolet radiation, or UV, is present in sunlight. The Ultraviolet Protection Factor (UPF) shows how well a fabric protects your skin from solar UV. But remember, a Wallaroo hat only protects the skin it covers. Safeguard the rest of your body by wearing sunglasses and sunscreen.

We also carry Sunday Afternoons UPF Hats

Certified Sun Fabrics-
UPF means ‘Ultraviolet Protection Factor’, the international standard for rating UV resistance in textiles. Sunday Afternoons’ certified sun fabrics’ testing is done at the International UV Testing Laboratory in Alabama, USA. We test on a continual basis and require test results of UPF 40–50+. All fabrics used in our hat and garment lines have an excellent rating of UPF40–50+, the highest possible. Over 98% of the UV rays are prevented from passing through a fabric with a UPF 50 rating.

The sun protective properties of our fabrics last the life of the garment. Sunday Afternoons’ fabrics utilize the latest in technological innovation and advances. These features include permanent solar protection finishes, quick dry and wicking properties, breathability, color fastness, antimicrobial freshness, and wash and wear use. Our performance fabrics include both natural and synthetic constructions.
