THINK CHEMICAL PEELS ARE TOO HARSH FOR YOUR SKIN? THINK AGAIN! - Page

Chemical peels can effectively be used on a variety of skin issues from acne to age spots and fine lines and wrinkles. The term “chemical peeling” sounds harsh and some peels of the past were aggressive, leaving patients with mixed feelings about the process. Now, there are peels for every skin type and tolerance. Most peels take less than an hour to perform, with minimal discomfort during the treatment.

Chemical peeling is a non-invasive technique used to rejuvenate and improve the appearance of the skin. With this treatment, a chemical solution is applied to the skin, encouraging cell turnover and renewal for a smoother texture, fading of hyperpigmentation and age spots, and improvement of skin tone and texture.”- Dr. Adam Asarch

Your skin health provider should thoroughly evaluate your skin for type, tolerance and desired results prior to a peel treatment. Then, a chemical solution is applied to your skin, which removes the damaged outer layer of skin revealing the soft, healthy skin underneath.

We also have some exciting additions in the peel category!

TOTAL BODY COOK’S PEEL

The Cook Total Body Peel has been designed to improve sundamage on non-facial skin. This technique uses a combination of glycolic acid gel and TCA (trichloroacetic acid). Neutralization of this peel permits precise limitation of the depth of the peel. The Cook Total Body Peel can be applied to the neck, chest, arms and hands. Wrinkling is reduced, pigmentation, such as age spots, is greatly reduced, and the skin texture is smoother. The skin appears more even in color and texture.

GLYCOLIC AND PEPTIDE PEELS

DERMAspa recently introduced two new light chemical peels; a Glycolic Peel and a Peptide Peel. Both peels have been medically formulated by Denver Dermatologist, Dr. Richard Asarch and are performed in-office, by our licensed aestheticians. Chemical peels are an easy way to greatly improve your overall look, and significantly boost your level of confidence!

The Glycolic Peel has a 50% concentration.  Glycolic acid is considered the smallest of the Alpha Hydroxy Acids and it is this small size which allows it to penetrate the surface of the skin and enhance the results. Glycolic acid can minimize and reduce the appearance of sun spots, acne breakouts, and fine lines while restoring fresh healthy skin on the surface by polishing away dry dead skin cells.

The Peptide Peel is great for people with sensitive skin. This peel is extremely hydrating, soothing, and perfect for seeing an overall improvement in the appearance of your skin. Peptides can help minimize the signs of aging including sun spots, fine lines and other imperfections seen on the surface of the skin.

These peels are done best in a series of six, at 2-4 week intervals. Because there is no downtime to these peels, they can be done at any time without disrupting your normal routine.

After your peel, you will be given care instructions and follow up information from your aesthetician. Schedule your appointment now by clicking here or calling us at 303-761-6325.

“I had a glycolic peel here, which I was fairly nervous about. The amazing ladies at DERMAspa put me right at ease and the treatment was great. My aesthetician listened to my concerns and asked about experiences I had with other glycolics, i.e. irritation and sensitivity, then made a suggestion on what percent to do as well as follow up care. My skin was radiant and glowing when I left, without a trace of irritation! It is obvious that DERMAspa is a Medical Spa and that the Aestheticians are thoroughly trained on the procedures and care. I would definitely encourage friends and family to go to this spa!”-     MF, Denver
