This is the perfect time of year to rejuvenate your skin with a chemical peel! Although the term “chemical peeling” may sound harsh, peels come in a variety of ranges and are very tolerable. A personalized consultation with one of our expert aestheticians will ensure you are given the appropriate peel for your skin needs.

What is Chemical Peeling?

Chemical peeling is a technique used to rejuvenate and improve the appearance of the skin. With this treatment, a chemical solution is applied to the skin, which causes the surface layers to separate and eventually peel off. The new rejuvenated skin is usually smoother with improvement of the color and texture.

What are the Types of Chemical Peels available at DERMAspa?

Illuminize Peel

The gentlest and most superficial peel, Illuminize non-invasive peel utilizes a novel approach to chemical peeling with a newer generation of alpha-hydroxy acids (Mandelic Acid and Malic Acid) in combination with Phytic Acid, Salicylic Acid and Resorcinol to maximize skin rejuvenating effects with very low irritation.

Vitalize Peel

Vitalize is a very superficial peel requiring little downtime for the patient. The peel includes a unique combination of alpha-hydroxy acids (AHA), beta-hydroxy acids (BHA) and resorcinol. A proprietary retinol solution is included as the final step to the procedure.

BENEFITS

• Non-Invasive
• Well tolerated with little downtime
• Noticeable results after just one peel, significant results after 3-6 treatments

Patients with mild to moderate skin imperfections including sun damage, fine lines and wrinkles, pigmentary irregularities, and acne-prone skin.

Rejuvenize Peel

Similar to the Vitalize Peel, but more aggressive, this superficial peel targets the deeper layers of the epidermis to produce enhanced exfoliation of the skin. The peeling solution includes a unique blend of peeling agents: alpha-hydroxy acids (AHA), beta-hydroxy acids (BHA), and resorcinol. A proprietary retinol solution is included as a final step to the procedure.

BENEFITS
• All inclusive, easy to use
• Non-invasive
• Well-tolerated with minimal downtime
• Noticeable improvement after just one peel, significant results after 3-6 treatments

USED FOR
Patients with moderate to severe skin imperfections including fine lines and wrinkles, sun damage, pigmentary irregularities and acne-prone skin.

VI PEEL

A unique blend of Salicylic Acid, Retinoic Acid, Phenol, and Vitamin C to deliver powerful results on the face as well as the neck, hands and chest. This peel is safe to use on a wide range of ethnic skin types, from the lightest to the darkest of skin colors.

TOTAL BODY COOK’S PEEL

The Cook Total Body Peel has been designed to improve sundamage on nonfacial skin. This technique uses a combination of glycolic acid gel and TCA (trichloroacetic acid). Neutralization of this peel permits precise limitation of the depth of the peel. The Cook Total Body Peel can be applied to the neck, chest, arms and hands. Wrinkling is reduced, pigmentation, such as age spots, is greatly reduced, and the skin texture is smoother. The skin appears more even in color and texture.

GLYCOLIC AND PEPTIDE PEELS

DERMAspa recently introduced two new light chemical peels; a Glycolic Peel and a Peptide Peel. Both peels have been medically formulated by Denver Dermatologist, Dr. Richard Asarch and are performed in-office, by our licensed aestheticians. Chemical peels are an easy way to greatly improve your overall look, and significantly boost your level of confidence!

The Glycolic Peel has a 50% concentration.  Glycolic acid is considered the smallest of the Alpha Hydroxy Acids and it is this small size which allows it to penetrate the surface of the skin and enhance the results. Glycolic acid can minimize and reduce the appearance of sun spots, acne breakouts, and fine lines while restoring fresh healthy skin on the surface by polishing away dry dead skin cells.

“I had a glycolic peel here, which I was fairly nervous about. The amazing ladies at DERMAspa put me right at ease and the treatment was great. Mick listened to my concerns and asked about experiences I had with other glycolics, i.e. irritation and sensitivity, then made a suggestion on what percent to do as well as follow up care. My skin was radiant and glowing when I left, without a trace of irritation! It is obvious that DERMAspa is a Medical Spa and that the Aesthiticians are thoroughly trained on the procedures and care. I would definitely encourage friends and family to go to this spa!”-     MF, Denver

The Peptide Peel is great for people with sensitive skin. This peel is extremely hydrating, soothing, and perfect for seeing an overall improvement in the appearance of your skin. Peptides can help minimize the signs of aging including sun spots, fine lines and other imperfections seen on the surface of the skin.

These peels are done best in a series of six, at 2-4 week intervals. Because there is no downtime to these peels, they can be done at any time without disrupting your normal routine.

After your peel, you will be given care instructions and follow up information from your aesthitician. Schedule your appointment now by clicking here or calling us at 303-761-6325.
