New Extended Evening and Weekend Hours

Help Us Support Camp Discovery This Month at DERMAspa!

Summer is notorious for long, care-free days of outdoor recreation and fun in the sun. For most of us, the biggest worry is sun protection, so we apply our sunscreen, grab a hat and are out the door. This is not so easy for children and adults living with severe skin diseases. The activities we take for granted in summer can be dangerous and require much more planning and care than just sun protection.

June is Camp Discovery Awareness Month

This month, we will donate a portion of DermaSpaRx sales to Camp Discovery. Every summer, the AAD sponsors six weeks of camp in five locations where children experience recreational activities in a medically supportive environment. Your purchase of DermaSpaRx products will help kids with severe skin diseases go to camp!

Camp Discovery

Under the expert care of dermatologists and nurses, Camp Discovery offers campers the opportunity to spend a week among other young people who have similar skin conditions. Many of the counselors have chronic skin conditions as well, and can provide support and advice to campers.

There is no fee for camp. All costs, including transportation, are provided by the American Academy of Dermatology through generous donations from its members, other organizations, and individuals. The American Academy of Dermatology is proud to offer this experience to about 380 children each year.
