HAVE YOU HEARD ABOUT THESE 3 TREATMENTS?
At Asarch Center for Dermatology and Laser in Englewood, CO, we offer treatments for these conditions with the XTRAC Excimer Laser, approved by the FDA in 2000. XTRAC is recognized by dermatologists worldwide as the leading laser used to treat psoriasis and vitiligo.
How Does XTRAC Work?
The XTRAC system uses a precision-focused UVB beam of light on active lesions, delivering high therapeutic doses to treat psoriasis without pain or risk to the surrounding healthy skin. XTRAC is also valuable in treating vitiligo, a skin condition evidenced by the absence of melanin, the skin’s primary pigment. The disease can be emotionally damaging, even crippling to adolescents’ self-esteem. The cause of vitiligo remains unknown and can appear at any age, affecting 1 out of every 100 Americans. XTRAC treatments can minimize and, in many cases, eliminate vitiligo de-pigmented patches.
2. BLU-U Light Therapy
Are you living with acne, precancerous sun spots, or scarring due to acne? Blu-U photo-facial light therapy may be a good solution for you. This treatment is non-invasive and effective at treating acne and actinic keratoses, as well as sun-damage on all skin types. Blue light photo-dynamic therapy works by killing acne causing bacteria, overactive oil glands and pre-malignant skin cells and pre-cancers.
What is Blue Light?
Blue Light (BLU-U) is an innovative technique in photo-facial therapy, using light instead of drugs to treat acne. BLU-U is a unique blue light that kills the P. acnes bacteria in your skin. Treatments are simple. The patient sits comfortably with his/her face positioned close to the light for a short period of time, determined by his/her doctor.
3. LAAP-Laser Ablation of Axillary Perspiration
What is Excessive Sweating?
An estimated 2 to 3 % of the population suffers from Severe Primary Axillary Hyperhidrosis—the medical term for severe sweating. Commonly an inherited condition, excessive sweating can be embarrassing and debilitating on a social, functional and emotional level if left untreated. Patients may sweat 4 to 5 times more than normal, far exceeding what is necessary to regulate body temperature.
Historically, potent topical antiperspirants or oral medications were recommended as the best treatment available. In the last decade, injections of 50–100 units of Botox effectively controlled sweating. The problem becomes that 50–100 units at a time is costly to keep up on a regular basis.
Now there’s a new treatment for excessive sweating in Denver. Dr. Richard Asarch is pleased to offer Laser Ablation of Axillary Perspiration (LAAP) to treat hyperhidrosis utilizing the Slim Lipo system.
