A treatable inflammation mostly found in women.
Perioral dermatitis is a common disorder most often occurring in women which manifests with groups of small red bumps around the mouth. It has the appearance of acne and will respond to topical agents for mild cases and oral antibiotics for more severe problems. The skin around the nose and eyes are sometimes affected.

Prescription topical agents are often all that is necessary to control the problem. For more persistent or extensive eruptions, oral antibiotics can be prescribed.
