Another common, treatable form of acne.
Acne Rosacea is a common condition characterized by symptoms of facial flushing and a spectrum of clinical signs, including redness, telangiectasia (fine blood vessels) , coarseness of skin, and an inflammatory pustular eruption resembling acne. It usually involves the central portion of the face. Unlike acne, patients generally do not report greasiness of the skin but often dryness and peeling. The exact cause if unknown but is the problem is often precipitated by hot drinks, heat, emotion, spicy foods and alcoholic beverages. Prescription topical agents are often effective but oral antibiotics are sometimes required.

We use the ICON Intense Pulse Light System for treatments that can improve the condition and help reduce the persistent central facial redness that is present.
